Farr MRX Challenge - BMW Auckland Regatta

Congratulations to local MRX Sailor Pete Waters and crew on winning the Farr MRX Challenge in the BMW Auckland Regatta.

The regatta was sailed in a great mix of conditions starting on Friday with a light westerly which became a moderat to fresh northerly on the Saturday and a boisterous southerly on the Sunday.

Pete Water's crew dominated in all conditions dropping only 2 races over the regatta.Racing was close amoungst the next 3 with Tom Macky and Colin Maddren's crews both scoring firsts. And Chris Howe and his crew from Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club showed that with a little more time in the boats they would be upsetting the standings. Daniel Edwards and his crew from Sandringham Yacht Club also moved up the fleet as the regatta went on even as the conditions became more testing!

The sailors all had a great time and all look forward to competing again in a bigger and brighter 2013 Regatta.  The regatta results and videos follow the pictures below.
